Marvin Fritz and Danny Märtz on the podium

In a six-hour race last Saturday in Spa-Francorchamps/BEL, Belgium, the two pilots from ADAC Pfalz e.V., Marvin Fritz and Danny Märtz, finished on the podium and celebrated a double success.
The reigning World Endurance Championship Vice-Champion Marvin Fritz/YART Yamaha had actually only travelled to Belgium for testing purposes, as the roughly seven-kilometre circuit in the Ardennes will be an integral part of the World Endurance Championship next year.
As the majority of the technical crew is on a short summer break, Marvin Fritz only competed with an ordinary Yamaha R 1 production bike.
In qualifying, the two pilots Fritz/Märtz finished in second position. In the six-hour race, the duo finished second in their category despite a time penalty and the delayed start from the pit lane. In the overall standings, the two were classified in third place. Fritz:" I was able to beat my personal best time."
This double success is unique in the history of the ADAC Pfalz e.V. and therefore a further event is certainly not out of the question.
