At the second 24 h race of the season, the teams of the World Endurance Championship (EWC) with Marvin Fritz for the very first time again in Spa- Francorchamps, Belgium. Marvin Fritz was again the fastest German in qualifying despite a crash at 140km/h and injury, the team claimed pole position and had to give up victory in the final third of the race due to a technical defect. Marvin Fritz anticipation for the 6.985 km long traditional race track in the Ardennes was huge. Fritz: "A beautiful race track with lots of fast sections. Especially the legendary Eau Rouge corner combination is mega fun to drive."
