Die FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) ist die weltweit höchste Langstrecken-Motorrad-Rennserie und findet unter dem Dach der Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) statt.

Die Weltmeisterschaft besteht aus einer Reihe von Rennen auf permanenten Rennstrecken. Die Ergebnisse der einzelnen Rennen werden kombiniert, der Titel geht an das beste Team. Darüber hinaus werden die Ranglisten veröffentlicht für Fahrer und Hersteller in den Kategorien EWC (Weltmeisterschaft) und Endurance World Cup. In dieser Kategorie werden weniger Rennen gefahren, die Motorräder müssen näher an den Serienmaschinen sein und es dürfen keine Schnellwechselvorrichtungen für die Räder verwendet werden.

YART Yamaha winns 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring 2019

After an epic 8-hour battle filled with drama, YART Yamaha emerged the winners on the Slovakia Ring, ahead of Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and F.C.C. TSR Honda France. SERT now lead the world rankings.

The Austrian Yamaha squad have won the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring for the second year in a row. YART Yamaha’s Broc Parkes, Marvin Fritz and Niccolò Canepa never lost the lead. After battling Honda Endurance Racing and F.C.C. TSR Honda France from the start of the race, they ended up sole leader, a lap ahead of Suzuki Endurance Racing Team. In the saddle of the Suzuki #2, Vincent Philippe, Etienne Masson and Gregg Black offered their team manager Dominique Méliand another podium after a perfectly executed race.

Next race on the EWC calendar: the 8 Hours of Oschersleben in Germany on 9 June.



Marvin Fritz Striving for the Top

On August 18-20, 2017 Marvin Fritz started in the fourth round of the Superstock 1000 European Championship on the Lausitzring. In the final practice the Bayer-Bikerbox Yamaichi pilot was, as so often this season, the fastest German and fastest Yamaha private rider. During the race Marvin was near a crash but finally he scored for the tenth place.


On Saturday the Superbike IDM champion of 2016 commented self-critically his eleventh practice: "The training worked not well in all aspects, but my team around technical chief Sepp Buchner searched for solutions. We also missed the evaluations of the official tests that we were unable to attend here a few weeks ago."


But on the day of the race, Marvin showed again his abilty to be right at the front, also without the tests. The 24 year-old rider set off for a good start. After the first lap he disrespectfully snatched the factory pilots Tamburini (Yamaha) and Vitali (Aprilia) and ranked sixth. Just when Marvin came close to the top five, the Italian rider Faccani crashed into his rear. Fortunately Marvin was able to avoid a crash but lost the connection to the top group with a ride through the gravel bed.


Back on the track Marvin made a good pace, four positions in front, so at the finish he took the tenth place. Marvin: "The race went so well for me. I could stay with the top pilots and attack them. Then such an unnecessary action. I am really angry."

Marvin Fritz celebrated his official comeback last weekend at the fifth round of the Superstock 1000 EC at Misano/I as the best German Pilot with an eleventh place. Only seven weeks after his heavy crash at Assen /NL Fritz took his place for the first time on his Bayer biker box Yamaichi Yamaha. The 24year old made the following statement: "After a few laps I run much more better, anyway I'm glad that I am back again." In addition, the heat with morning temperatures beyond 30 degrees Celsius brought not only the pilots also the tires to the limit. Fritz: "The asphalt had a temperature of 60 degrees at the afternoon, many riders crashed over the front wheel." Fortunately, Marvin Fritz survived a collision at the race day. After a restart, the Bayer-Bikerbox Yamaichi pilot got the eighth position. In the last lap Fritz was behind the italien rider Frederico Sandi, when Sandi abruptly stopped. Fritz: "I was just behind of Sandi, suddenly his bike ran out. I had no chance, I crashed the Italian to the rear. Thanks to my quick response and a big luck, only my Yamaha R 1 got injuries." Marvin Fritz was able to save the eleventh place. Fritz: " I am glad that nothing has happened, but this maneuver cost me some positions.”

In the second race of the Superstock 1000 Championship which took place last
weekend in Assen in the Netherlands, Marvin Fritz from Bayer-Bikerbox Yamaichi
team finished the final qualifying as the best German driver with a ninth place.
On the racing day, the Yamaha pilot caught a start among the top five, then he was
involved in a crash.
Chef technician and engine tuner Sepp Buchner: "Marvin was admitted to the
hospital. It seems as he has probably only scrapes and bruises”.

At his debut in the class Superstock 1000 last weekend, 31.03. - 02.04.2017 in the Spanish Motorland Aragon, Marvin Fritz was the best German driver and best Yamaha private driver with a tenth place in the race and finished the first weekend with a successful international start. Thus, he passed his probability test besides many other international elite drivers. After his sensational win of the Superbike IDM in 2016, the highest German racing series, Marvin Fritz had achieved everything on German level. The 23 year old and his Bayer-Bikerbox Yamaichi Team decided to step up their game and compete in the Superstock 1000 Class, which is carried out worldwide together with the WorldSBK. The best 33 drivers from Europe and Overseas are fighting not only for points, but for a coveted ticket for the WorldSBK or MotoGP. Just a few weeks ago, Fritz had his first test kilometers on his Yamaha YZF R 1 prepared by first technician Sepp Buchener, to get to know it better. Fritz’s first acquaintance with his Superstock 1000 competitors only took place a week ago, while they had their first test runs on Friday. ‘As expected, everybody is fighting on highest level, the top 10 drivers of this Class already have international experiences and successes. Sadly, we couldn’t compete at the official test runs of the teams. It is a complete restart, so to say.’ Fritz said. Fritz was able to give a first tasting of his skills at eleventh place at the graduation training last Saturday, with only 1,557 seconds behind pole positioned and ex Moto3 pilot Michael Ruben Rinaldi / Ducati. Fritz ‘I’ve improved myself from Friday to Saturday. The unity tires from Pirelli are completely new to me. I have to perfect the balancing act of taking care of my tires and having a fast way of driving.’
